In memoriam of Jamie Kezlarian Bolio

This week we’ve had to accept that Jamie Kezlarian Bolio, a central member in the Submarine Animation team, passed away. The news hit us like thunder and we are still in a bit of denial. 

Jamie will leave a huge gap in our midst, not only because she helped us build teams with amazing and diverse animation talent, but even more so because of her personality. She was such a warm, human and open soul, that it was impossible not to be attracted by her unique character. She had much to give and to share with us at Submarine, but surely the same goes for the entire Dutch and international animation community.

Our thoughts go out to her family and her many friends. We are sad that we cannot be with them in this time where most of our communication takes place online. We don’t have the words to express our grief, or how sorely she will be missed by us all. We hope that soon we will be able to meet her close ones in person to keep her spirit alive in our conversations.
