Internships
Submarine likes to accommodate interns in various roles in her film company. Interns bring new
knowledge about the field and their own view into the company. Not only that, they provide
important support in the execution of film productions or processes. At our company, an intern
has the opportunity to participate in international projects and ongoing productions, and in turn,
gets to know a film production company and different parts of the field and can acquire soft and
technical skills.

INTERNSHIPS
Our internships come in all shapes and sizes. We have several departments at Submarine and
each requires a different set of skills and educational level. Depending on your ambitions, we have
creative, managerial, media and production related opportunities, across animation, documentary
and office operations, and have on offer; Vocational training internships (BOL), Learning
internships (HBO), Graduation internships (HBO + WO) and Work experience internships.
Pick an internship that suits your aspirations:
Documentary Research- and Production Internship
As a research- and production intern you’ll take on the role of research- and production assistant on the various documentaries we are working on. In addition to the general production tasks you will also help with research during the development phase of our projects. As well as, preparing for shoots, give support in making proposals for funding and writing entries to filmfestivals. It’s a hands on internship, in which you’ll really learn all the ins and outs of making a documentary, with room for your own initiatives. You will become an integral part of our production team! With guidance from your supervisor you will set up learning goals for your personal and professional development. All to make sure you can get the best out of your experience at Submarine.

(inbetweening, fixes, etc.) or 3D production (rigging, modelling, animation, etc). – We don’t always
have this internship available, as we’re dependent on what projects are in production. (Illustration,
